The site may look roughly the same, but it has been re-written from scratch so that it can be updated more easily and so that it loads a lot faster.

Certain things might not look quite right, as you may have seen on the temporary homepage, there are issues with the way the webpage appears in different browsers, which is a common problem. If you are using Firefox, everything should look good, if you are using Internet Explorer, it probably doesn't. Feel free to click the Firefox button that you'll see at the bottom of most pages and upgrade though, it's worth it. We'll be 'fixing' these problems as we can (in other words, on the days that it's raining and we can't go flying). The problems are purely cosmetic, so you shouldn't be missing out on anything.
New features, such as the video page will also be appearing soon, the new gallery is working now and we'll hopefully start putting some new pictures in there soon.

Enjoy and let us know what you think in the comments!

Happy Birthday Lily!

Happy Birthday Mark

My God when will these 254 birthdays ever end? They just go on and on, I know there is only 24 of them on the course but they must have had 25 birthdays already this month! I didn't spent 3 years at Cambridge doing English and then join the prestigious National Union of Journalists too toil out this constant stream of happy birthday crap. Why can't I be a proper journalist like John Simpson and liberate Kabul or be like Kate Adie and be airstriked (yes it is a word I checked it in my George W Bush Dictionary of English) by the Americans?
Editor: Just write what your told and stop pretending your important otherwise I won't sign off your expenses.
Sorry boss. It's time to wish your favourite former sailor Mark Corbett a very happy 32nd birthday. Mark, 38 will be celebrating his birthday in the run up to his IR. Mark, on behalf of all on AP254 we would like to wish you a very happy 56th birthday!

OAT Anti-Alcohol & Tabacco Campaign Fails

Shock news today emerged that OAT's campaign to reduce staff and students intake of alcohol and tabacco has failed. The project which been heralded as groundbreaking by even the Department of Health has now collapsed into total ruins.

OAT was keen to launch the project with their finest class ever, AP254 of course and invited them to a seminar to learn about the evils of alcohol and tabacco. Unfortunately after only 30 minutes the meeting descended into total mayhem when the caterers accidentally started serving beer and cigars instead of horse's douffers and mineral water. The picture below was taken only minutes before the riot started, at which point your reporter had to leave. All I said was that AP253 were a decent bunch too and they just went mental. I'm too distraught to talk about it anymore.

Anthony Petteford, OAT's supremo didn't say 'I don't know what I was thinking about getting that lot involved. I must have had a bang on the head! I still have two ground school lecturers off with stress related illnesses and another one threatening legal action after they had to work with 254. Luckily they will all be out of here soon - phew!'
